Imtec MDI Sandax mini implant system (lower – 4 implants)

Imtec MDI Sandax mini implant system (lower – 4 implants)
The MDI mini-implant system has been specially designed to hold the removable prosthesis steady on the completely toothless upper or lower jawbone. 4 mini implants are sufficient to use on the lower jawbone as gravity also helps to hold the prosthesis in place. The prosthesis that is fixed on miniature implants is more stable then another types. The prosthesis stays in place even during chewing more firm food. The preparation process is the same as for the upper prosthesis. We drill the top of the bone guided through the gum (in anaesthesia) and using the corresponding tools we drive in the screws into their place. If the patient already has a proshtesis, it can be worn after having a few minor modifications on it.
The implants can be loaded fully only after the complete ossification and healing (which is about 2 months). This means the softer inserts in the housings get exchanged to harder ones, keeping the prosthesis in place during chewing almost anything! The MDI mini implants open a new chapter in the world of prosthesises, because the patients get a very stable prosthesis with only a minor intervention and a little sensitivity, without surgery. The price includes the prosthesis as well if the patient didn’t have any before.
