Imtec MDI Sandax mini implant system (upper – 6 implants)

Imtec MDI Sandax mini implant system (upper – 6 implants)
The MDI mini implant system holds the removable denture (made to the entirely toothless jawbone) steady. The system consists literally miniature ball retention screws, that are screwed into the bone without a major surgery. We drill the top of the bone guided through the gum (in anaesthesia) and using the corresponding tools we drive in the screw into its place.
On the upper jawbone about 6 miniature implants can provide adequate anchorage to the prosthesis. With a prosthesis stabilized this way, the one’s quality of life can be increased, they can smile and eat freely. Through the approximately 6-8 weeks healing time the patient can wear his old prosthesis (if he had one before) after having a few minor modifications done on it. After ossification the implant heads get fastened by friction in the cavities designed in the prosthesis, thus keeping the prosthesis steady on the mini implants. The price includes the prosthesis itself as well as all the 6 implants (and all the necessary accessories). A special toothbrush is included as well which is needed to clean the mini implants and the gum.
If the patient wants to keep his existing prosthesis, it can be sorted out by making a few amendments on it. However if the patient never had prosthesis before, we take an imprint of the implants and the tech lab creates a prosthesis with the adequate cavities in it. The creation time of it is about a few days, but when it’s ready it can be worn immediately, using a special flexible insert, that will ease off the dragging of the implants. After ossification these soft insert can be replaced by a harder one and after that the patient needs to attend on check-ups.
