Post / Core We use a post/core structure in case of cracked, root canal treated teeth. The aim is to strengthen the teeth, make them more resilient and to create a more secure anchorage to the crown. Post can be created only to hold crowns, as it is unable to hold an inlay or a filling.
The process of the treatment: the root filling gets removed by the appropriate drill from the canal and then it gets replaced by the carbon fibre or metal post, which is glued into its place. The carbon fibre is a better choice because its greater flexibility and its less splitting effect to the root than the metal one. Our recommendation is the carbon fibre one.
