Telescope denture with acrylic teeth
This is the denture system that primary and secondary telescope crowns fix in its place. It is a removable partial denture, preferably made of metal baseplate with acrylic teeth on it. The metal baseplate is necessary as the separation of the telescope crowns requires quite a force that a plastic baseplate couldn’t resist and would break. The baseplate can be made of a golden net as well, but this is not advisable to use for the upper denture as gravity pulls it downwards (it’s heavy because of the gold). If the telescope crowns are made of gold then it’s advisable to have the baseplate made of it as well, because this way the secondary telescopic crown doesn’t need to welded (only soldered) to the golden net.
