  Tooth extraction surgery A (Level 1.) If the crown part of the tooth is so much destroyed that the dentist cannot get hold of the tooth using the appropriate tools, then extra opening methods need to be done after which the root or the tooth is accessible and can be pulled out. This is the Level 1 surgery intervention (tooth extraction). There is no need to stitch the gum after this, there is no bone loss, and the patient has no discomfort after the treatment.
